I know you are thinking someone must have hijacked her blog, but no, nothing so dramatic. I am merely out of room for pictures at this blog so, I hope you'll join me at my new blog where I should have plenty of picture space for another year at least! http://amy-cornerstoneretreat.blogspot.com
I think you can copy and paste it into your browser to get there, I'm sure there is a better way but I don't know it!

The road from the little town
on the North side of the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods had hair pin turns and while climbing steadily up also had dips. I was in the back seat, it was morning, nothing good could come from this! By the time we made it into the park I was pale green, when B pulled into the parking lot to look for a space I jumped out of the car. No plans were made to reconnect, I could hear laughter, I didn't care, I was so glad to be standing still breathing fresh air! By the time they found a spot I had recovered and was looking forward to walking through the park. But, I hadn't given any thought to getting back down to sea level. . .
We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge
Saturday, January 29th
It was dark
and I left my camera at the hotel, I shouldn't have because we rode a Cable Car to Fisherman's Wharf. We ate at Alioto's Restaurant on Pier 39 overlooking San Francisco Bay. Beautiful! The restaurant is one of San Francisco's oldest and got its start in 1925 as a fresh fish market. I had pasta with local Dungeness crab and local bay shrimp, yum! Then we rode a Cable Car back to the hotel, made plans to meet for breakfast and collapsed.
After the tour
we headed Northwest to San Francisco. We had to make a few laps around the block in order to find a valet space for the hotel. Evidently the club (the most popular in SF) associated with the hotel was having their anniversary and the valets were attending to VIPs. After we got our luggage inside and "freshened up" we met R's brother and his wife in the lobby. When we started to plan this CA trip we wanted a chance to see B and J but weren't sure how we'd fit in driving South to San Diego after a trip up the coast. It was my bright idea to see if they'd be willing to meet us in SF for the weekend. We got to see them AND gained tour guides for the weekend!
