Esther Ordinary Day

Our homeschool group performed a play based on the book of Esther. H was an attendant to Esther, a member of the chorus and even had a couple of solo lines.

Do you remember the wild turkeys?

When the wild turkeys hung around our property for a week or so the boys and I went to get their wild turkey licenses. Then we didn't see the turkeys again, although I did hear them in the mornings. The license was good for a week. One afternoon of that week I arrived home to see one grazing behind the barn, I alerted M who stalked and harvested his first wild turkey, YUM!

Violets and the Park

The ground of our grove is covered in violets. We've had some beautiful blue skies with great big white clouds. One evening we made one of our first trips to a town park with friends.

A Windy Day

just right for flying a kite! We have spoon billed drakes ( a breed of duck) on our slough this spring, they are strikingly beautiful, and pretty shy. I can't get very close for a pic.

Spring

Signs of spring: Canada Geese, a bird nest, GREEN grass, and buds on the apple tree(small) and cottonwood tree.
