Gramma always arrives with

a few art projects up her sleeve. This morning we made "sand deserts" using food color, salt and recycled water bottles. C likes to smell anything we cook, bake or make! Evidently colored salt "smells good."

We've been

so focused on moving in and finishing the basement I hadn't done much decorating. Time to make this place home. Who am I kidding, this place was home the moment we walked through it together! OK, just time to decorate!

In the morning

the air temperature is cooler than the water temperature so we are treated to this beautiful view.

Autumn Color

As my parents drove Northwest they enjoyed watching the harvest and progressing autumn color. I was glad our trees were showing off!

Gramma and Grampa

arrived from NC just in time for supper on Thursday, September 30th. Afterward we unpacked bags and boxes of collected things, what fun. It was too dark by then to use the new 3D sidewalk chalk. But it was the first thing C and S did the next morning!

Just before sunrise. . .

Harvest Moon- Past Prime

We were finishing a late dinner one night and when I looked out over the lake I saw the very low, very large, very orange couple day old harvest moon.
