Welcome, November!

Garden Shed

I missed the moving of the garden shed. The previous owners had this on the driveway, we decided it would make a good garden shed come springtime. Evidently they put a chain around it and dragged it to its new location!

Sun Dogs?

I have only ever seen Sun Dogs when there is snow on the ground and ice crystals in the air. No snow yet, nor ice crystals, it was a very warm day for November in South Dakota.

Little Boy Blue

come blow your horn, the sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn. . .After the farmers pick the corn oftentimes they then pasture the cows in the field of stubble. Beautiful.

You know the saying,

"Surfing in Nebraska"? Well, this is not Nebraska but it's close. I hope they're headed to the coast for a surfing vacation. . . otherwise I'm puzzled.

Kennels

Our dogs are indoor/outdoor dogs, family pets that love to go hunting. They will remain so, but I had this great idea to make kennels, so when we go away they can stay at our home and just have a pet sitter come over. We have neighbors that are moving and were selling their chain link fencing. We need a few more pieces to complete the inside parts of the kennels. We are also waiting on an electrician to come and put electricity to the barn. Then the men can wire the barn so the dogs can have heat lamps.

K's Farm Job

entails driving this John Deere 9300 with its chisel plow. He is turning the soil over and chiseling in the manure. He has chiseled about 700 acres using about 780 gallons of agricultural diesel. And today he moved cows.
