Shoveling Out
Since we live in the Upper Midwest, Great Plains? Hang on and I'll check. . .The US Census bureau considers SD part of the Midwest but, SD also falls into the Great Plains Region(West of the Mississippi and East of the Rocky Mountains) it can be very difficult to measure snowfall amounts. The official amount of snowfall in this system was three inches at the airport about 12 miles from our home. As you can see (or maybe not) from the photos we had areas which were windswept free of snow and we also had two foot high drifts.
