is located in Garretson, SD. It is the site of Jesse James' escape from the posse that chased him and his brother, Frank, after their failed robbery of the First National Bank in Northfield, MN. He escaped to the other side of the river, where his brother was waiting, by urging his horse to leap the chasm that is now connected by the steel bridge you see in the photo. They holed up in a cave not from from there for several days before making their way back to MO.
