R and I ate dinner
with one of the bankers he deals with for business. We had a nice time and he suggested I might enjoy his county fair the next day. Since I had nothing on my agenda but relaxation and R would be busy until mid afternoon at least, I headed South about 15 miles to Spencer, home of Clay County Fair, the biggest county fair in Iowa. Spencer was a lovely town and on the light poles there were American flags and also flags from every state.
