Fondue

When I told my children that their cousins were arriving shortly for a visit they said in unison, "We have to have fondue!" Long ago D and I decided that cooking the raw meat in boiling oil in the fondue pots on the table was too time consuming, too scary and there was too much potential for food contamination. So although it is not traditional fondue food we cook chicken nuggets in the oven and enjoy dipping them along with bread, apples, broccoli and cauliflower in cheese. After the cheese course there was a brief pheasant hunting interlude. During that time the mosquitoes descended for the evening and so we continued with the chocolate course in the dining room.
