I have a self timer

on the camera, but we didn't try that at the sledding hill. It is hard enough to get everyone looking at the camera and then throw in sleds, hats, mittens, scarves, boots, jackets and snowpants and it is a miracle that most of them are looking in the general direction of the camera.

In between

taking photos and checking for injuries we moms sledded too.

Lots of sledding.

oh, and there was sledding.

and not so much sleeping.

and olympic watching.

There was

baking and eating and recipe sharing and game playing and lego building and chatting and crafting.

Guests

Our friends, the T family (now from Kansas), came for a long weekend visit! We met about 10 years ago and have been sharing family time ever since.

Stuck and Getting Unstuck

Wood

Our heating system is complicated, there are two parts of the house, the addition is heated with LP and the main part of the house is an electric(above 30 degrees) wood and oil furnace. We burn wood but it switches to oil if we are not home or the wood runs out in the middle of the night. Bringing in wood is a weekly chore. We try to do it on the more pleasant days. Even Baby likes to help, although finding little pieces of wood for him can be a challenge.

More Bowling Pics

Baby was having a grand time driving on an arcade game, he doesn't yet know they need quarters to work! He and his friend C enjoyed sharing the candy from their Valentine bags. The two friends you see me with, G and K, I met on the NMSL (Nursing Mother Sewing List). When I learned we were moving to SW MN I asked on the list if there were any nmslers in SW MN. There were and they answered! They are also homeschooling families and are part of our group! Some of the people you meet online can be great irl (in real life) friends too!
