One of my Rhode Island Red hens has gotten broody. On Saturday we cleaned the chicken coop. The first thing I did was usher all the birds outside. Then I shut the door. Then I heard the soft clucking of a hen. I had to get out the ladder to find her. See the bulge in the blue tarp? That is where she is nesting. What is she planning to do when they hatch? They will not be Wood Ducks.
