After touring Page Museum

we walked around Hancock Park. The crude oil is still seeping through the ground and the odor is quite strong. There are fenced off areas where you can see the asphalt seeping through the earth and the gases that accompany it bubbling up through the water. (The animals behind the fence stuck in the tar are just models.) We visited Pit 91 to glimpse a current excavation site. Work at the pit is currently on hold as the scientists excavate the crates of fossils retrieved during the building of the parking garage.
